SHIPPING

Our standard method for shipping books in U.S. will be media mail, $3.00 for first book, $.50 for each additional book.

Priority flat rate for up to two pounds is $5.00.

ORDERS TO THE TRADE:

After an initial pre-paid order is received from new accounts, an account will be established for bookstores and libraries. Once an account is set up for a bookstore or library, we will accept email orders with PO number, shipping address and contact information. Wordcraft of Oregon, LLC, will invoice these orders.

BOOKSTORES receive a 40% discount, plus shipping and handling (see above).

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: These orders can be made through the shopping cart and rates have been based on recent U.S. Postal Service increases. Please note that "surface book" options have been eliminated. All orders must be shipped via airmail.

RETURN POLICY
Since our products are books, we do not give refunds or accept returns. However, books received in damaged condition will be replaced. Damaged book must be returned at buyer's expense.

Our return policy is influenced by many factors, not the least of which is the carbon footprint left by books traveling back and forth burning up a lot of diesel fuel. According to a recent

article in the August 2007 issue of PMA Independent, the newsletter of the Independent Book Publishers Association, Mike Dyer, of Chelsea Green Publishing, says “Given the total number of books shipped last year and the average rate of returns, we found that an extra 1,305 million pounds of books traveled an extra 59 million miles, consumed 8.4 million gallons of diesel fuel, and released 188 million pounds of CO2 into the atmosphere. And these figures don’t include returned books reshipped to vendors, or damaged returns being sent to a recycler or, worse, to a landfill.” So Wordcraft of Oregon, in an attempt to find some middle ground with booksellers, allows for full bookstore discounts on orders of single books, while adopting a non-returnable buying structure.

CLASSROOM EXAMINATION copies can be obtained for 50% discount. If the title is then adopted for a class, the charge for the examination copy will be refunded upon request.

Only returned books received in new and saleable condition can be credited.
