Another in the series of “Liquid Dreams” and “Water Over Rocks.”
This one is part of an exploration, as in “Liquid Metal Dream” (045) which is the result of lots of layers and intricate lines pieced together into a larger design.
This one came from brush and colored ink on absorbant paper which produced the quality of softness and diffusion.
There’s that motif of the roots again. I keep rooting for them.

The entangled roots and twisted organic forms is something of a motif in a number of the pieces based on ink drawings.
Something like a nest of strange little hot-dog puppies — okay, so they’re alien.
I really enjoyed hand-building pottery when I was in college. My favorite method was using coils. I love these soft, clay-like coils upon coils upon coils…
I imagine this as expressive of the teeming life around a coral reef, bioluminescence, underwater lifeforms.
